Indirect- going around the question and indirectly getting to the bottom of the topic
Interview format: TV
Interview styling: Hard news/entertainment
Interview techniques: Open and Direct
Structuring: Introduction, Developing questions, Key questions, Summary and wipe-up.
Richard started to ask Krishnan Guru Murthy questions. It was entertaining because there were a few lighthearted moments. Both the interviewee and the interviewer were using hand gestures and as Richard was being asking a question he lent forward. Richard also expressed that he didn't want to be in the interview. He wasn't disgusted with the interviewer he just knew that he had to do a lot of interviews and he knew the structure.
The funny thing was that he brought up Krishnan's interview Quentin Tarantino and I can just imagine Krishnan thinking 'Ah! why did you have to bring that up?'
Jeremy Paxman v.s. Russell Brand
Interview type: TV
Duration: 10 minutes
Paxman uses lots of direct and suggestive from Russell. He pokes brand to tell him more about he opinion not to vote.
There is a sound bite included to the interview-this is a place of information that someone will add in because they know the interview will be edited.
Tomi Lahren and Trevor Noah
There is a sound bite of a taster of Tomi's show which starts the debate. He asks her a direct question "Why are you so angry?" To which she replies "There are things that need to be said and a lot of people are afraid to say them.” Now she does not directly deny that she is not angry but, she simply states that there are some things that have got to be said. The debate gets very heated when the topic of 'Black lives matter comes into the conversation. Tomi is very combatitive because she feels accused of racism and calling "Black lives matter" the new "KKK". She counted this by saying "you cannot call "Black lives matter" the new "KKK" because they still exist.
